ATHLETE OF THE MONTH: "Athlete of the Month" has been something we've been wanting to implement at Apache CrossFit for sometime and are happy that it is now in full swing. Athlete of the Month showcases our current members who embody what CrossFit is all about, gives it their all every time they show up, and supports those around them. They may not do all workouts rx'd or be the heaviest lifter in the gym but spend extra time working on specific skills, are welcoming to others, and encourage other athletes to do their best as well. Each month we will choose a different athlete and post some facts about them to help everyone know them a little better.

Lynne trains consistently and always does her best. She frequently puts in extra time to improves things that don't come easily for her and through persistence and attention to detail, conquers goals on a regular basis.
Throughout the CrossFit Open, Lynne has made some great strides in her performance and skills and continues to do so every time she steps foot into the gym. She takes coaching cues without batting an eye and is always willing to learn. Today, she is on her way to becoming one of the strongest and most efficient lifters in the gym. We're excited to recognize you as April 2014's Athlete of the Month. Keep up the good work!
A bit about Lynne:
1. When did you start CrossFit?
2. Favorite WOD?
I think I have a love, hate relationship with rounds for time. Something with burpees, double unders (I love getting welts on my arms), box jumps, wall balls, pull-ups, runs…who am I kidding I like them all!
3. Least Favorite WOD?
Open 14.4 or 14.5…it’s a toss up
4. Favorite lift?
Cleans and Back Squats

6. Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, sports, interests, etc)
I am the youngest of three sisters. I am a first grade teacher. I enjoy the
beach, working out, and loafin’.
7.What were you doing before CROSSFIT?
Single unders…A lot of cardio, circuit training, lifting, and running. I joined
Apache to change things up and see what all the craze was about, now I

I have no clue what I’m doing!

10. What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Apache CrossFit?
Keep coming back! You will do a whole bunch of crazy shit that you thought you could never do. Also, listen to the coaches, they never steered me wrong.
